Passiv Collective

We are delighted to announce that we won the prestigious BRE Passivhaus Competition and will be developing the Scottish site at Ravenscraig. We were also pleased to be awarded the ‘Commendation for Innovation’ on the site.

We will update our news blog as the project progresses with the design and construction of the house along with the research and training that will be run in parallel. Our other key partners include The University of Strathclyde, Edinburgh Napier and BrilliantFutures.

Kirsty Maguire is a founder member of The Passiv Collective. Set up to recognise the collaborative nature of our work we are developing architecture projects, training and research in low energy and passivhaus design. This also covers the wider sustainability agenda including reducing lifetime material impacts – or cradle to cradle life cycle assessment. This includes manufacturing, in life and end of life impacts including recycling, reuse or disposal of the materials.

More information can be found at the Passiv Collective website, www.passivcollective.co.uk and the BRE press release about the project winners is found here.
